
Our next pit-stop was Cone E, to do the same routine. Unlike cone D, the station is near the top of the
crater, which gave me enough time to zip up to the crater's edge and take a look down at the lake.
The active crater is Cone A, which I was dying to see, but couldn't. However, this isn't a shabby cone. You
can see everywhere the colors of alteration, and layers that go into building up a volcano.
