This photo only hints at the most amazing station location. OKSP, located on Steeple Point, is a station that sits on the tippity top of a peak. The fog bank was just kissing this station, and if you stood on your tippy-toes (or, more accurately, were hovering in a helicopter 10 feet off the ground), you could see Vsevidof Volcano and Mount Recheshnoi. in the neer distance.
Steeple point is located at a constriction in lthe island, and you can see both the Pacific and Bering sides of the island, as the clouds played hide-and-seek with our views.
