Hi. Welcome to the 1998 website for the REU Programs at the Geophysical Institute at University of Alaska Fairbanks. This page was put together by the interns for two main reasons. First of all, it's a great resourse for prospective interns to learn all about the program and get a feel for what it is like. Secondly, it serves as a center resource for the 1998 interns to post photos and keep in touch. This website is based upon the previous years, but it has been updated and expanded to greatly improve the content and minimize downloading time. We (the interns) had a great time this summer and learned a lot. Hopefully this website will preserve some of the essence of our summer.
